What it costs
No quote required.
Most agencies make you sit through a call to find out what they charge. You’re running a business — you want to know whether this is worth an hour of your evening before you give up the hour. So here it is, including the parts that will put some people off.
Start here
The ads health check is free.
It isn’t a sales call in disguise. You give me read-only access, I spend a couple of days going through the account and everything behind it, and you get a written breakdown: what’s actually being tracked, what isn’t, where the money is going, and what a customer is really costing you.
If I can’t improve on what you’ve got, I’ll tell you that instead. The findings are yours to keep either way — take them to whoever runs your ads now, if you like.
Step one, if you want to go further
The Rebuild — $1,950, once.
Around two weeks of work. One fee. At the end you own all of it and owe me nothing.
Most trade accounts I open have the same problem: nothing underneath is wired up. No conversion event when an enquiry lands, no tags on the ad links, no way to tell which ad produced which customer. You can’t fix what you can’t see, so the budget goes up instead.
The Rebuild fixes the wiring.
Tracking, as far as I can reach
If I can get into your site, I wire it up properly: a conversion event on the enquiry, tagged links, and every lead recorded against the ad that produced it. If I can’t get in, I’ll tell you exactly what’s missing, what it would take, and who has to do it — before you pay me anything.
The campaign rebuilt
In your account, not mine. Structure, audiences, geography, placements, budget, and a performance goal that matches how you actually get paid. An offer written, because most trade ads don’t have one.
Handed back
Reporting that answers what an enquiry and a customer cost. A written handover, a 30-minute walkthrough, and two weeks of email support. Then you can run it yourself if you want to.
Every ongoing client starts here. I won’t take over an account I haven’t rebuilt — I’d be judged on someone else’s wiring, and you’d be paying me monthly to fix things that should have been fixed once.
Only if you want it
Ongoing management.
Month to month. Thirty days’ notice. No lock-in contract, ever.
| Your monthly ad spend | Fee |
|---|---|
| Under $3,000 | $1,200 / month |
| $3,000 – $8,000 | $1,800 / month |
| Above $8,000 | $2,500 / month |
The fee is flat, not a percentage of your spend. A percentage would pay me more when I spend more of your money, and I don’t want us having that conversation.
Minimum ad spend $1,500 a month. Below that there isn’t enough data to work with, and you’d be paying me a bigger share of your budget than makes sense.
Wondering why someone else quoted you $500 a month? I’ve written the whole answer down — what a monthly fee can and can’t include, why the good ones are hard to find, and where my own incentives aren’t perfectly clean.
The question everyone asks
What about my website?
Most of the time it doesn’t need replacing. It needs about six things fixed — the headline, the offer, the form, what happens on a phone, the speed, and where the enquiry actually goes. Those six things are inside the Rebuild.
Sometimes it does need replacing, or there’s nothing there at all, or nobody can find the login. In that case I’ll build somewhere for the ads to land, and I’ll quote it once I’ve seen what you’ve got. I don’t publish a website price, because anyone quoting you one before they’ve looked at yours is guessing.
It also depends what you’re built on. WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, or something a developer made — I’ll work with any of them, but how much I can do directly changes a lot between them. Some I can get into and fix the same day. Some need your web person for ten minutes. Some are locked shut. The first two questions I’ll ask are whether you can log in and change a page, and whether you know where your domain is registered. The answers decide what’s possible and what it costs, and I’d rather know before quoting than after.
So you know where you stand
What I won’t do.
I won’t lock you into a contract. Month to month, thirty days’ notice, from day one.
I won’t charge a percentage of your ad spend. It would pay me to spend more of your money.
I won’t run your ads from my account. It stays yours. Pixel, data, audiences, tracking — you keep every bit of it if we part.
I won’t send you a report about reach and impressions. Neither has ever paid an invoice.
I won’t take you on if the numbers don’t work. If your average job is too small to carry the fee, I’ll say so on the call rather than after you’ve paid.
I won’t promise you a cost per enquiry. Anyone quoting you someone else’s number is guessing at yours.
Being straight about it
Probably not for you if…
- You’re spending under $1,500 a month on ads. Get the free health check anyway — I’ll write back either way — but the paid work won’t earn its keep yet.
- You want someone to post on social media. I don’t do that.
- You want a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody can honestly give you one, and the people who do have priced the refund into the fee.
- You want a big team. There isn’t one. It’s me, and that’s the point.
Start where it costs nothing
The health check is free and the findings are yours.
Read-only access, a couple of days, written up in full. Whether or not we ever work together.
Want to see how I write one up before you hand anything over? The Proof page has two accounts opened up in full — what I found, what I changed, and what I still don’t know.
